‘Tis the Season for Giving & Gratitude– Learn more about the CCED Membership Drive!
The Clayton County Energy District is hosting a Membership Drive! This is your sustainable opportunity to build and strengthen our communities. We are tackling millions in energy costs leaving the local economy, while also reducing carbon emissions. Our effort is swapping wealth extraction for wealth retention. This locally led clean energy transition creates an intersection where energy prosperity meets climate stewardship. A WIN WIN!
We implement and engage in the community with our “boots on the ground!” Education awareness and advocacy bring both wealth and health to the local economy and environment. We have BIG goals for the upcoming year!
In 2020 We Plan To…
-Host our very own resident Green Iowa AmeriCorps Team
-Complete our 5000 LED light transition initiative in which we aim to install 5000 LED’s in the light sockets of Clayton County (over the 13 year life span of the bulbs, this will retain $417,000 into our local economy and reduce carbon emissions by 4200 metric tons– equals the emissions of 10 million auto driving miles)
-Host clean energy education awareness programs at schools and organization around Clayton County
As a local, “for good” organization, we rely on support from people like you to serve the Clayton County communities. Would you, as a committed, community focused person renew your support, or become a supporting member?
You can also become a sustaining donor which is an easy, attainable way to put some funds towards a mission you support. Our first sustaining members, John and Jane Metcalf of Elkader said:
ALL SUSTAINING, AND RENEWABLE KILOWATT & UP MEMBERS WILL RECEIVE OUR ENERGY DISTRICT MUG!
