The Clayton County Energy District will hold its quarterly, “around the county” Clean Energy Breakfast, on Friday, June 29th at The Thoma Dairy Bar & Cafe, in Garnavillo. Anyone who would like to learn more about the LOCAL & CLEAN ENERGY movement is welcome to attend.
Featured Speaker: The Green Iowa Americorp team will talk about the impacts of our Home Energy Efficiency program here in Clayton County.
Topic #1: Home Energy – The Home Efficiency Program, is one of our most successful programs to date. Through this low-cost, high-return program, the average resident of Clayton County saves roughly $140 annually on their utility bills. The program is a available to both tenants and homeowners! To date we have performed assessments and directly installed efficiency measures in 70+ Clayton County residences! At the breakfast you will hear how this program is impacting the local economy and the environment!
Topic #2: Garnavillo Auto – Solar Project – Garnavillo Auto owner Tracy Schroeder, and solar contractor Roger Zearly will be on hand to talk about the recently installed solar array powering Garnavillo Auto!
