We’re celebrating our LED transition!

Since 2017, the CCED has locally purchased 10,000 LEDs and distributed them to Clayton County light sockets. When we spend less on our light bills, we have more to spend in our community. LEDs cost less to operate and emit less greenhouse gases. Now, that’s something to celebrate!

Here’s the math:

This transition means the county will save $835,000 over the next 13.6 years! AND

10,000 LEDs x 765 kWh saved = 5400 tons CO2e reduction for Clayton County over 13.6 years which equates to 13 Million miles driven by an average passenger vehicle
