Energy Coaching Walkthrough at the future Volga Public Library
On Thursday, January 11th, Energy Coach Chris Gregerson led an Energy Coaching Walkthrough at the site of the future Volga Public Library. Chris explained how to best caulk windows and doors, double pane windows, the benefits of insulation, LED lights, and furnace efficiency, and used the combustible gas leak detector to check for gas leakage. Plans for future solar powering the site were discussed, as well as other electrification steps.
Seven participants got to look for heat loss by trying out the thermal imaging camera our energy coaches use while on the job. A conversation was held around reimbursement for clean energy projects.
