Learn all about what it takes to GO SOLAR! Solar talks will be given every 45 minutes by Winneshiek Energy District, Energy Planner, Joel Zook. Joel will discuss siting solar projects, solar technology, energy efficient pre solar must do’s, and why now is the time to invest in solar. Meet local solar contractors at the vendor fair in the St. Olaf Auditorium. Solar installers will help you figure your plan to go solar and save!

LED bulb swap (bring up to four incandescent bulbs to swap) during the event.
The owner of the St. Olaf Tavern and CCED Vice Chair, Randy Lenth, will be available to give information on this newly solar powered St. Olaf Tavern.

Hot Tip!!! Don’t forget to bring your reusable water bottle to the event – water refills will be available. & The St. Olaf Tavern, famous for their giant pork tenderloin, will be open for lunch

Maps will be provided for the self guided solar crawl. Check out various instances of solar from farm, rooftop, ground mount, businesses, cities and utilities! Visit your neighbors who have already gone solar. Stop in and find out why and how they went solar and learn about the advantages of powering with solar energy!!
