September Virtual Lunch & Learn: Elkader Weather & Climate Patterns
Join us for our September Virtual Lunch & Learn with Howard County Energy District Director & Cresco City Councilperson, Amy Bouska. Amy will be discussing the specific weather patterns of our local community. This is an interesting opportunity to learn facts about our local changing climate.
The climate scientists tell us that the world is — on average — becoming warmer and wetter, but is that what is happening HERE in Clayton County? You’ll be surprised by the answer!
After looking at the recorded Elkader data, Amy Bouska will review some of the changes to date and predictions for the upper Midwest region more broadly. Finally, based on US emissions data, she will consider the question of what individual action can and cannot accomplish in the fight against climate change.
