Next Clean Energy Breakfast: Let’s Talk Electric Vehicles

The Clayton County Energy District will hold its quarterly, “around the county” Clean Energy Breakfast, at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, December 14 at Johnson’s Restaurant, in Elkader. Anyone who would like to learn more about the LOCAL & CLEAN  ENERGY movement is welcome to attend.

  • CCED Program Manager Joleen Jansen will briefly present,” Why consider Electric Vehicles EV’s”
  • Forest Brown of Brown’s Sales & Leasing will talk EV availability and reality in Clayton County
  • Dr. Jim Osterhaus – CCED Board Chairman will tell his “Tesla” story and tour his vehicle
  • GIA Team Rep to update on the current Home Energy Assessment Program

  • Steady declining, competitive purchase price of electric & hybrid vehicles
  • The current tax incentive of up to $7500
  • EV’s significant reduction in CO2 emissions
  • The decreased amount of maintenance requirements & cost
